Overview

The Caregiver Course Singapore is a comprehensive program designed to equip individuals with the essential skills and knowledge required to provide quality care for the elderly. This condensed 5-session course (originally 7 Sundays) covers both theoretical concepts and hands-on practice in daily caregiving tasks.

Participants will learn to handle challenges such as infection control, fall prevention, and assisting with daily living activities, ensuring they can provide safe and dignified care to their charges.

What You Will Learn

Infection Prevention and Control (IPC): Principles of hygiene and safety.
Fall Prevention and Mobility: Techniques to prevent falls and assist with movement.
Wheelchair Transfer: Safe methods for transferring patients.
Assistance for Elimination Needs: Managing toileting needs with dignity.
Pressure Injury and Positioning: Preventing bedsores and maintaining comfort.
Assistance for Hygiene Needs: Bathing and grooming assistance.
Range of Movement Exercises: Basic exercises to maintain joint mobility.
Medical Escort and Self Care: Accompanying patients and self-care for caregivers.
Food Safety and Oral Feeding: Safe food handling and feeding techniques.
Dementia Awareness: Understanding and managing dementia-related behaviors.
